Frequently Asked Questions

1. Q: Do your teas have caffeine?

A:  We must first clarify what "tea" is.  Tea refers to all leaves that are grown from a plant called thea sinensis that is part of the Camellia family.  The best teas are generally grown in mountainous regions.  This plant contains caffeine naturally.  Therefore, all white, green and black teas contain some amount of caffeine.  Much less than coffee of course.

Therefore the following teas contain caffeine: white, green, oolong and black teas.  White tea has the lowest amount of caffeine and black tea has the highest amount.

Our decaf teas are: any of our herbal fusions. Ie. Yerba Mate Guarani, Rooibos, Camomile, Lavender, Spearmint...i.e. any of our "teas" that don't include white, green, oolong or black tea.

2. Q: Which teas are good for losing weight, boosting the immune system, and relaxing?

A: Different tea/herbal fusions are designed for different effects.

Our suggestions:

  • Lose weight: try the Skinny Oolong - known to stimulate the process of burning body fat faster without the "laxative" effects, this tea is a great increasing your metabolism.  Make sure you  also eat healthy (moderately) and excercise for best results.
  • Boost your immune system: try our Red Mint, African Sun, Yerba Mate Guarani, White Silver Moon.  These teas have very high antioxidants.  Rooibos, the red-bush that comes from South-Africa, is an excellent immune system booster as it is filled with minerals.  Our Yerba Mate Guarani also has minerals, iron, vitamins and can be used as an appetite suppressant.  Our White Silver Moon has the highest amount of antioxidants from our boho tea line.
  • Relax & Sleep at night: try our Chill Out herbal fusion.  With Camomile flowers from Egypt and Lavender from Tibet, this organic will soothe your stressed out nervous system and muscles.  Also try our Red Mint, as the Rooibos will calm any tummy aches and alleviate stress on your system. The Spearmint will leave you refreshed.  Zzzzzz...have a nice sleep.

3. Q: What does "boho" stand for?

A: boho is short for "bohemian".

The term 'Bohemian' has come to be very commonly accepted in our day as the description of a certain kind of literary gypsy, no matter in what language he speaks, or what city he inhabits .... A Bohemian is simply an artist or littérateur who, consciously or unconsciously, secedes from conventionality in life and in art. (Westminster Review, 1862).  Source: wikipedia

Our teas are different from the conventional culture of using paper/nylon tea bags.  We are distinct from the large tea production companies and focus on unique blends, premium quality and an eco & social friendly tea experience.
